Who is Life Is But A Dish?

Hi, my name is Laney Schwartz and I am the founder, creator and recipe developer behind the food blog Life is but a Dish.

I’m an east coast girl at heart, currently living in Los Angeles, CA with my husband, two daughters and puppy dog. I am on a mission to help busy home cooks across the world gain confidence in the kitchen, create simple and delicious meals and cook without being tied to a recipe.

After over eight years of blogging there are over 600 reliable recipes on my website, all using simple everyday ingredients. Before I became a blogger, I was an elementary school teacher as teaching is my first passion. I feel so lucky to be able to bring my two passions together – teaching and food!

I’m committed to helping the overwhelmed and anxious home cook learn how to build foundational cooking skills for life because I believe that cooking with confidence goes so far beyond the kitchen.

I love to cook because to me, food is joy. Food is love. I enjoy using simple ingredients to make WOW dishes.

Why are you excited to be a St Pierre ambassador?

I love love the product. I think there is nothing like it out there. I have tried many brioche breads, it’s one of my favorite breads but St Pierre really makes the best one.
