Christmas Savory Croissant Bake
Perfect for the family
This indulgent but light Savory Croissant Bake will be a firm favorite this Christmas.
Ingredients
- 1 pack St Pierre Croissants x 8
- 8 slices thick cut ham
- 1-2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 8 slices cheese, such as cheddar or Monterey Jack
- 2 cups fresh spinach leaves
- 4 eggs
- ¼ cups whole milk
- ¼ cups half and half cream
- 1 tsp butter
- 2 tsp fresh chives, chopped
- 2 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Black pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F/Gas 4
- Slice the 8 St Pierre croissants in half lengthways and spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on each one
- Fill each sliced croissant with a slice of ham, a slice of cheese and some spinach leaves
- Season with pepper and a few of the chopped herbs
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, milk and cream and season with pepper
- Grease an ovenproof dish with the butter and arrange the croissants in the dish
- Pour in the egg mixture and leave for 15 minutes to soak in
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes or until the egg mixture is almost set
- Remove the foil and bake for a further 10-15 minutes
