
Christmas Savory Croissant Bake
Perfect for the family
This indulgent but light Savory Croissant Bake will be a firm favorite this Christmas.
Ingredients
1 pack St Pierre Croissants x 8
8 slices thick cut ham
1-2 tsp Dijon mustard
8 slices cheese, such as cheddar or Monterey Jack
2 cups fresh spinach leaves
4 eggs
¼ cups whole milk
¼ cups half and half cream
1 tsp butter
2 tsp fresh chives, chopped
2 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
Black pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F/Gas 4
- Slice the 8 St Pierre croissants in half lengthways and spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on each one
- Fill each sliced croissant with a slice of ham, a slice of cheese and some spinach leaves. Season with pepper and a few of the chopped herbs
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, milk and cream and season with pepper
- Grease an ovenproof dish with the butter and arrange the croissants in the dish. Pour in the egg mixture and leave for 15 minutes to soak in
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes or until the egg mixture is almost set. Remove the foil and bake for a further 10-15 minutes
