
Grilled Pulled Pork Burgers With Jalapeño Slaw
An American classic with a French twist
What’s not to love – juicy grilled pulled pork and spicy slaw, encased in delicious brioche using our buttery Burger Buns.
- 4 St Pierre Burger Buns
- Boneless shoulder of pork
- 2 tbsp paprika
- Good pinch salt and black pepper
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
For the Slaw
- ¾ cup very finely shredded cabbage of your choice
- ¾ cup grated carrot
- 1 onion, finely sliced
- ¼ cup (or more to taste) jalapenos from a jar
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp mustard
- Black pepper
- Preheat the oven to 300°F/Gas Mark 2
- Mix the paprika, salt, pepper, chilli powder and sugar in a bowl then tip onto the pork and rub all over
- Put the pork into a large ovenproof dish and pour in the vinegar and a splash of water
- Cover and cook in the oven for 4 to 8 hours
- When the pork is nearly ready, make the slaw. Add the cabbage, carrot and onion to a bowl with the jalapenos
- Add the mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard and black pepper and mix well
- When the pork is fully cooked and falling apart, remove from the oven and shred the meat using two forks
- Add the bbq sauce then pop back in the oven for a couple of minutes
- Load your buns with a generous spoonful of pulled pork and top with the jalapeno slaw and the bun lid
