Sticky sweet and filled with fall flavors, these Maple and Pecan Sticky Buns are a delicious treat for this fall. Dripping in maple syrup and topped with nutty pecans our Brioche Slider Rolls make the perfect sharing dessert for when you have family and friends over.
Ingredients
- 1 pack St Pierre Brioche Sliders
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup pecan nuts
For the Maple Caramel Sauce
- 1 stick / 4oz salted butter
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ⅔ cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup heavy cream (or whipping cream)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 375°F
- Find an ovenproof baking dish that will fit then sliders in snugly. Place the dish on an oven tray then grease it with a little butter
- Toss the pecan nuts in the cinnamon then scatter evenly on the base of the dish. Set to one side
- Add all the ingredients for the sauce into a heavy based saucepan and bring to a gentle bubble then simmer for 5 minutes until smooth, glossy and slightly thickened. Carefully pour the sauce over the nuts in the dish
- Turn the sliders over and place top-sides down onto the maple sauce, nestling them in slightly. Leave for 5 minutes then cover loosely with aluminum foil and pop in the oven for 20-25 minutes
- Remove the foil and place a large serving plate over the top of the dish so that it is completely covered
- Using oven gloves, carefully invert the dish and plate together so the buns are the right way up and allow the sticky maple buns to fall out onto the plate
- Serve warm with whipped cream
Bon appétit!
